clinic

Today is our daughters 26th Birthday - I forgot. We wake up with our minds on what we can do to help right here right now, any other thoughts just do not penetrate our minds.

Surgery in an area like a carport.
Seven month pregnant women with a broken pelvis
Children. Old people. Some will not live.
Keeping them over night, some several night.
Just got told two women in labor.
Tomorrow more patients.
I will help escort a group of orphans out to the US on a military flight - this is exciting! Pray all goes through.
numb.
Home is filling up with foreigners , very special community developing.
Love having people in our home.
exhausted.
Don is tired of being Superman - but he still is!
I so appreciate you reading this, please understand we are tired and feeling overwhelmed but we want you involved in what is going on here. Some posts may be better then others.
Don said he will add some pictures. We drove through the worse area's and have lots of pictures, really I just do not want to look at them.
love you all

  1. Prayed all day for you there as the clinic was opening! Knowing that God's timing for having you there was perfect. I will be praying for safety for you and the orphans as you travel with precious cargo to the states!

  2. Oh Lisa and family - I know you have strength to keep going - as I remember so many encouraging things you said to me as I was exhausted in labor and nothing was moving (it seemed)... yet you stuck in there and kept helping me get Selah out!! We DO read your blogs every night together, and it helps us to see what's going on. It brings back sights, smells, sounds, and all the memories of our previous trips to Haiti - and I can only imagine how yucky it is right now... but oh, how there has to be some beautiful smiles, weather, flowers, relationships and miracles that you can find to set your hope on each day - and keep going! May our Lord Jesus give you all hearts and eyes to see His goodness in the midts of suffering - and to cling to Him like never before. Psalm 91. You don't need to write back... just wanted to encourage you.

Oh, by the way, we know Linda and Dennis Isakson well - and found out you know them too... their son, Isaiah, married my friend Erica (and she was in our wedding!) Small world.
    Love,
Andrew and Judi Blum (and Moriah and Selah)

  3. My dear Lisa,
Not an hour goes by that I don't think of you or pray for you. We can only imagine here (with the help of news) what you, Heartline, and the people of Haiti are living through...
    love you sister,
    Lori

I don't know if you guys are still looking for fuel sources. These guys are delivering fuel to hospitals/clinics that need it to keep generators going. They are bringing it in from the Dominican Republic. Hope this is helpful!

  5. My husband (dave rentmeester) just called me and told me he is staying with you. I'm so thankful I got a moment to speak with him and know he is safe. Thank you for all you are doing for the people of Haiti.
